Young people are the future of Europe and, on the other hand, the tourism industry, with its specialized forms, is one of the most dynamically developing industries in the world. The project “European Intercultural Dialogue through SPA Tourism”, 2017-3-BG01-KA105-046973 aims to upgrade the theoretical knowledge, skills and competencies of 60 young people aged 18 to 30 from Bulgaria and Greece in the field of tourism and in particular – SPA tourism and discovering opportunities to enhance its competitive advantages in both countries. The project is funded under Key Action 1 of the programme.

The project proposal consists of youth activities that are aimed at:

  1. Raising the knowledge, skills, and competencies of young people about the specifics of SPA tourism.
  2. Improving and expanding the professional competencies of the participants for the development of specialized SPA products.
  3. Increasing the motivation of young people to actively participate in non-formal learning and to use the opportunities for active development of knowledge and skills or lifelong learning.
  4. Enhancing the language training of participants to the level of self-use in English, which will be the main working language during the exchange.
  5. Expanding the knowledge of young people in the field of tourism-specific terminology.
